I started my childcare career working in residential homes for children with autism, learning difficulties and emotional and behavioural difficulties. From there I worked in children's holiday camps, and managed breakfast and after school clubs. I worked as an early years advisor for a local authority then returned to residential care but this time for young people aged 16-21. After being made redundant I became a self employed carer alongside my well-being business working as wellness coach teaching mindfulness, breathwork and helping people neurodivergent people learn to regulate their nervous systems. Whilst self employed I have supported a range of clients varying in age and needs. I completed some live in care managing the home, cooking, cleaning, shopping, administering medication, transport and companionship. I supported clients to engage in community activities and helped them to enrich their lives. I am now studying to be a counsellor, I have been managing a supported accommodation service for the past year but would like to work a little more flexibly. I have a small, well behaved dog who enjoys coming to work with me where possible. I am currently in Yorkshire whilst I attend college and ideally looking for work in that area but I am willing to travel for overnight / live in work.

I am an experienced carer, doing care for over 9 years. I have worked in different care settings. I started working in the community, doing home care, and afters I worked for a Rapid Response Rehab team-NHS. I have been working with adults with learning disabilities for over 5 years and I am also doing agency work. This gave me the opportunity to go to a lot of different places like care homes, hospitals, hospices. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people with very different conditions and needs, and also different ages from 12 years old to 105 years old. I consider myself a confident carer. I am very attentive to details, don't like jobs half done. I am driven and would like to think I am always doing the best that I can to look after people and make sure they are well looked after, safe and happy. I enjoy making a difference in their lives. I consider myself compassionate, kind, calm, warm, very caring and empathetic. I am professional, hard working, I work good under pressure, I am good with time management, I like to work in a team, but I can also very well do lone working. I always put all my heart and soul in my work and I will go extra miles for the people I look after. I am curently studying Mental Health Nursing at University Centre Somerset.
