I have been a carer for almost 22 years. As I have had a lot of experience, in healthcare and social care. This has provided me with a solid foundation, in delivering person-centered care. I am well-versed, in assisting with daily living tasks, supporting emotional, physical well-being, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment, for individuals with diverse needs. I take pride, in my ability to build trusting relationships , with clients, ensuring they feel valued and respected at all times. I have worked with elderly in their own homes and residential settings, people with mental health problems and people with learning difficulties in various settings. I have also worked with homeless individuals, in sheltered accommodation. My experience includes supporting service users with daily living needs. I have supported service users with personal care, feeding, medication administration, planning budgets accountability and managing money skills. I have knowledge on how to support the maintenance of health dietary needs for service users. In addition to my hands-on experience, I possess excellent communication skills on how to engage with individuals, through 1:1, conversations, through active listening skills, which allow me to effectively engage with both clients and their families. I am a very good team player, good with report writing. In my current job, I understand the importance of empathy and patience, and I am dedicated to tailoring my approach, to meet each individual’s unique needs and preferences. I have the passion of helping vulnerable individuals. I am particularly drawn to live in care because of my passion for helping people overcome challenges and achieve greater independence. I believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life, and I am committed to providing the support necessary to make that a reality. My positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively, with a multidisciplinary team, make me confident that, I can contribute meaningfully care to individuals. My name is Clare and I’m a mum of 4. I have worked in the care sector on and off for the last 25 years. I have cared for people ranging from ages 16 to over 100, working across a variety of care settings, Including nursing/residential Homes, community care and Hospitals. I have gained a vast amount of knowledge in these settings, constantly updating my skills annually to cover manual handling, medication, safeguarding and first aid training to name a few. I absolutely love working in care, particularly caring for people in their own homes and promoting independence as much as possible, allowing people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. I have a good understanding of an individuals needs and think it’s very important to deliver a high standard of care. I’m trustworthy and reliable and will always try and be as flexible as possible. I understand that it can be very hard to start having a carer and I am naturally sensitive and dignified regarding this and have always been able to make my clients feel comfortable.
