I have 2 grown up children and 3 Grandchildren and I have an Old English Bulldog, enjoy going to visit new places in England.

Hello. Being a pensioner myself, I am available for Companionship work mostly, although I am very happy to do more personal work when necessary. I have been in one-to-one contact with people all my working life - as an Osteopath, and other therapies. I have loved that kind of contact, where shared experiences connect us all I am now a retiree as such, yet find myself drawn to Care work as a way of continuing, without too much stress to myself. Humour is important to me, and it is deeply important that on a global scale, "we" seem to be finding that humanity again after such a difficult time for all - of course fully aware of the humanity shown over and above, from the NHS.

My experience includes meeting the needs of people in hospital and at home with dementia, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and I have experience of looking after children. I worked as a registered nurse and care manager until 2008 until I started caring for my parents. I like to get to know people, treating them as individuals, with dignity and respect. I am also patient and a good listener. I like learning new things and like to help others with their learning.
