My Name is Elizabeth I was Born in Kenya and moved to UK after got married. I was interested to be carer as I looked after my mum when she was diagnosed with cancer so when I move to UK in 2009 that was my first job and from then I really enjoyed it. I have worked with dementia patients, young challenging behaviour, blind patients, Parkinson’s, spinal code injuries, and elderly. I worked in care homes but I switched to live in care nearly 3 yrs now. All my live-in care clients have commended me for my rapport and kindness. I am a bubbly person who like to make difference in people lives. I like to clean and tidy up a lot. I do really enjoy cooking and trying new things as well. I am well travelled as I have been to 70 countries and 7 continents. Quite enjoy gardening as well am a mother of 2 and have one grandson.

I have worked in care for around 7 years my first role was working as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities I supported them to live in their home, I have worked in a care home as the activities co Ordinator and my current role is within the NHS as a support worker for people that have been recently diagnosed with dementia. I love working in care I find great satisfaction in helping people, I am naturally a positive, bubbly character. I like to be on the go and if I am working with someone depending on their needs if it is a nice day we would be out for a walk or if we are in the house I would like to encourage activities such as seated exercises, baking, jigsaw and whatever the person would like to do I would try and accommodate this as best I could.
