Extra Qualification: CSTF : Care Skills Training Framework. (Large file). My mode of care has always been to encourage the client (friend) going for walks (if possible). DT6 5JE 2183 I enjoy taking care of people/homes/pets and plants and find it very rewarding. I am very calming and friendly and a holistic therapist part time. My experience started out as a live-in carer for a spinal injury care company. I also worked for a care agency, where I cared for a girl with disabilities, there was always 2 carers in this role and we took her to school, administered medication and checked blood and ketone levels. Within this agency, I covered many different care homes and agencies across Bristol. I also supported 2 ladies privately, both had a spinal injury, where I supported with personal care, using a catheter, cooking and a lot of driving. I like driving and I am a very careful driver, I can drive an automatic and a manual car. My preference is home care as I love seeing people so relaxed in their own home. I am also a complementary therapist, so naturally, I am a gentle caring person. I love working with all ages, but particularly fond of the elderly. I used to go into a few care homes in Bristol and offer mini treatments, this is at a dementia home and one of my friends who is like a grandma had dementia. I am a fantastic listener too! I am now back living in Dorset and looking forward to caring for people that need support in this area. I would prefer a minimum of 2 hours + per visit.

Being an experienced carer who has received good training, professional development, experience, and qualifications to back this up to make me confident in providing care with seamless ease. I will be respectfully deal with personal care such as washing toileting management while preserving your dignity. Everyone needs to have autonomy in the way we live. I will respect your right to choose and preserve your dignity. And will not assume you cannot make a decision; I will always help you feel empowered. Dedicated to being on time, and you are safe in knowing that I will be there for you at any time of the day. I will go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable before I retire, making sure all of your needs are attended to and helping to build trust between the two of us. I have great patience, and you should never feel rushed to do something. I understand that it’s more vital for you to achieve something than how long it takes you to do it. BH15 1RJ 131688 Hi my name is Karlene but usually my colleagues call me Kay. I am from the lovely sunny island of Trinidad and Tobago. I have been in the health care profession for over 20 years. I’ve worked in the hospital and this is where I gained most of my knowledge, training and experience and this is where my passion and motivation grew tremendously in caring for others. I have always taken caring very seriously and as such have devoted myself not only to ensure the health of the patient but also their happiness. I believe all clients should be treated equally with respect and dignity. I am a jovial, empathetic and devoted individual who takes my clients needs very passionately and it gives me comfort knowing my clients are contented. I’m currently working one to one with a young client with autism and learning disabilities, I am always willing to broaden my spectrum and further my career in the health care profession. I am fully vaccinated . Over all I am very hard working, committed and am always willing to learn more, as this is a passion that I hold true to my heart.
