CT1 3PL 263889 I am a mother of three children. I moved to Bridge from Belfast in 2020. I love meeting people, sports, walking, making acquaintances, traveling, and cooking. I have been working in care for three years since I moved to Bridge. I am compassionate about caring for people and making a positive difference to their lives and I have the commitment and values to make a real difference to the lives of people with care needs. I am very passionate about empowering vulnerable adults to help them improve their quality of life. I am caring warm, friendly, and full of empathy. I believe everyone deserves to live a life in happiness and free from harm, regardless of disability, age, or ethnicity, and as such I have a responsibility to safeguard vulnerable adults in care needs because they are human beings with wants and needs, and I love to support them in maintaining a good quality of life. I can undertake Key Worker responsibilities to work with an individual in promoting independence and regaining self-belief and form positive relationships with service users, families, and other professionals. I am calm, patient, observant resourceful, and energetic and I treat people with dignity and respect and promptly act on any concerns I have about them. I am highly motivated, hardworking, and keen to support people in need of care in a proactive manner. Taking a person-centred approach when taking care of vulnerable adults is vital to me because it enables me to place the person's well-being and needs at the forefront of my every safeguarding care. I love to meet people, watch sports, take a walk, volunteer work, cook and travel.

I stumbled upon caring almost 7 years ago when I first arrived in England and volunteered full time for 2 years in care in South East Kent. I made long time friends through the families I met and had my mind opened to various disabilities. I have cared since then for various families within Canterbury and as far as Sevenoaks. I lost my own parents at a very young age and had to care for my siblings most of my adult life. I have succeeded in life through the kindness and generosity of both friends and strangers and that's why I find so much satisfaction in caring.

CT15 4BX 281260 Its my desire to treat people in my care with respect, dignity and with the best care as per my training and experience. Being a Carer is taking heed of my clients needs and wishes and to do my best to perform them, making the environment a pleasant one for both the client and myself. I am patient and kind, compassionate and am able to work with people from all different departments in the total care of my client including their families. I am happy to work in a home with animal, cats or dogs as I have always had animals, although I am a cat lover, as I wanted my kids to grow up with them and when coming to UK, I flew my daughters cat over to the UK to be with us. I like cooking easy and nutritional foods for my clients, I would sit down with them and discuss what they would like to eat and do my best to make it. Another thing of importance is being able to take my clients out into the community to mix socially or to visit friend or attend church. On waking my client in the morning with a smile and a cheerful demeanor, is very important, making sure they are ready to proceed with the daily tasks and personal care, having meals and spending time doing what they like, crosswords or puzzles, or just chatting. I would naturally do what is required of me according to the clients care plan, making sure they are taking their medication as indicated. Mostly it will be following my clients lead and always getting their consent and the right to choose if they are mentally capable, but at the same time making sure that I have some down time to rest and do what makes me happy, such as a hobby, reading, a walk. Its necessary for me to have a 2 hour break each day. There will be a surcharge if I have to get up twice at night and if this occurs a lot, I would contact a family member and arrange for them to help me get some extra rest and recharge, because this will ensure than I can work at my full potential.
