LE18 1PG 22628 I have worked as a carer, support worker and a youth worker in different settings, such as a mental health unit, Learning disabilities and residential children home. As a Support worker the experience gained was to provide emotional and practical support to individuals and their families who struggle to live independently because of health issues, emotional problems or relationship difficulties. Support workers work with individuals and their families providing practical and emotional support according to their specific difficulties. Typically, clients include people with physical, mental or learning disabilities, those who are struggling with drug or alcohol addictions, vulnerable children or adults, young offenders, or those suffering from marital or other relationship difficulties. The main aim of a support worker is to help clients learn to live as independently as possible, by identifying and supporting them in their particular areas of need. They may work with clients who have short term care needs or those with longer term or lifelong difficulties. The needs of a support worker’s clients vary depending on the specifications of their role; they may work in the community, in a home support role or specifically with clients who have mental health problems. Support workers usually work with several clients at one time, either on their own or as a group, depending on the needs of the client. Person centred care A person-centred approach to nursing focuses on the individual's personal needs, wants, desires and goals so that they become central to the care and nursing process. This can mean putting the person's needs, as they define them, above those identified as priorities by healthcare professionals. With all these skills to hand I have I am eager to fulfil the role in helping my clients, also it will be an advantage to me to apply my learning skills into practical. The most important issue in working with people is to respect a person as an individual and don’t judge anyone, that is my philosophy of care. I am willing to travel ST3 within 3 hours.

LE2 9QL 53609 I believe that being a carer one has to have the drive to carry out personalised person centred care planning and delivering the best possible quality of care. I am a woman who grew up knowing that it takes a community to train a child. As a Carer I strongly believe that one has to be willing to learn from every Client as they are all unique individuals with their own personality and care needs. Willing to learn as every individual's care needs are different. I am a good listener as this empower the client by enabling them to make their own choices in their best interest. I am flexible how I can work adjusting times to suit the client's care needs. I have worked from Residential care home, prisons, mental health, hospital wards for Stroke, Cancer, Respiratory, Surgical, general and orthopaedic. Listening is one skill as it allows me to get to understand the client. Each client deserve to be given dignity during personal care and all times , respect and listened to their wishes. I have worked with clients who have stroke, hip/knee replacement, old age, cancer, MS, Cerebral Palsy, parkinsons, Spinal injuries, complex care needs such as Tracheostomy, PEG, stoma, catheters and wounds. I believe given the opportunity to join your team, I would bring these skills and work as part of the team using my own initiative adhering to all care plan assessments and needs to reach to a toast of a milestone ensuring the client is safe and comfortable. Putting a smile on a client's face, making a difference in their lives as they feel loved make me strive each day to do more within my capabilities.

LE3 8NF 70919 I have been a carer throughout my life. Born as the elder of the two girls in a family of 9 meant responsibilities of taking care of my siblings from the word 'go'. I took care of my younger cousins too, at one time I had 10 children to take care of at the age of 18, one of which was 6 months old. That was hard but I managed it even in a language foreign to me. This was in Botswana in 1978 where my uncle lived and I came from Zimbabwe. I had a scholarship to train as a fashion cutter and designer in Germany between 1979 and 1983. During my free hours and weekends I took care of a 67 year old lady who needed help with cleaning the biggest mansion I ever set foot into. That was fun. I escorted her to shopping and sometimes to hospital appointments in a taxi. I later years during the AIDS epidermic in the late 80's and early 90's, I took care of several victims especially on my husbands side. It was heartbreaking to experience the anguish of the affected families. I arrived in the UK during very turbulent political times in Zimbabwe and was accepted as an asylum seeker just after the turn of the new millennium. I started working as a carer beginning of 2002 and was with the same company untill 2010. Besides this company I also worked with several care urgencies during the same time. I also did a degree in Business Information Systems completing in June 2010 and failed to get a job in the field due to the great economic slump of those years. I continued gaining loads of experience in care, besides acquiring NVQ level 3 in Health & Social care. In 2015 I went to Sweden to do a MSc in Business Intelligence at Darlana University at Borlange town. I did not finish the challenging training but rather learnt the Swedish language and was fluent enough to work under the Borlänge town council in their big nursing homes. What a massive experience that was. I got acquainted with almost all sorts of ailments affecting the elderly, besides a wide range of equipment and super training. I relocated back home to England end of 2019 after getting a job as live-in-carer with TheGoodCareGroup. I had excellent training with them and have been working as a live in carer with them eversince. The list of all my capabilities is on my profile. I can manage patients with almost anything, best of all "End of life care". I did that a lot in Sweden. Most of all I have dealt with all stages of dementia care. I am reliable, caring, fun and companionable. I am educated and can discuss any subject intelligently. I can coach the elderly in using the computer. I love to attend church services and I usually go to church saturday because I am a 7th Day Adventist Christian. I am a very fast learner, flexible and interested especially in anything educational. I can cook fairly well besides I can follow recipes very well. I am a top notch housekeeper. For me tidiness and cleanliness are like a religion. I love health eating and mostly eat vegetarian. I love the gym and can try any equipment in the gym.
